America and Communism in the 1940s

• The USA was alarmed by Stalin's take over of Eastern Europe.
• The USA defined a Sphere of Influence for Russia to have an influence of Eastern European countries but not complete domination as he had got.
• By 1948 on 2 countries in Eastern Europe were not Communist (Greece and Yugoslavia).
