• Britain has a variable climate that changes from day to day which means it is difficult to predict
• Britain has an equable climate which means that extreme weather is rare
• Britain has different seasons - spring, summer, autumn, winter
• The reason for Britain's weather being different North, South, East and West is because different climates come from each direction as follows:
• North - Arctic very cold
• East - Continental from Europe and Asia
• South - Tropical warm
• West - Maritime air has crossed Atlantic bringing wet weather
