Physical honeypot - Snowdon
Physical honeypot - Snowdon
Highest mountain in England and Wales.
It is a National Park.
Every year 400,000 people reach the top.
It has attractive lakes and scenery.
There is a scenic railway ride up and down.
It has a shop and restaurant at the top.
It is most popular to go there by car as this is the only way to get right to the bottom - narrow country roads and only a small car park at base.
Accommodation is normally needed for people who visit Snowdon.
The cost of B&B is normally great.
Snowdon is being spoilt - flowers picked, litter dropped, paths are eroded and gates are left open which causes conflict with farmers.
With more and more people climbing Snowdonia there are plans to build more on the top. Enlarge restaurant and shop.
