- Alton Towers used to be a Stately Home with a small fun-fair.
- It has now developed into a major theme park.
- Alton Towers has a new ride built each year to encourage visitors to come back.
- Access is only by long winding country roads! No main road access.
- It is based in quite isolated countryside.
- Large rides cause visual pollution to neighbours.
- There are many shops, restaurants etc within the park.
- The litter problem is sorted out internally.
- Large areas of countryside are taken over for parking.
- There is a problem with traffic congestion around the park at opening and closing times.
