- Reasons why transport has effected leisure:
- Car ownership has rapidly increased so it is a lot easier for people go away for a day or longer.
- More motorways speed up travelling and make it easier and faster to reach more destinations.
- By-passes reduce hold-ups and make people's journeys more relaxing.
- Air, coach and rail travel have also increased.
- Air fares are now cheaper so people can afford to travel by air and airports have been built near popular holiday destinations.
