  • You used to be able to wander around the stones but because of graffiti it is cordoned off now.
  • Site has been redeveloped over the last 5 years. The car park has been enlarged, a gift shop, restaurant and toilets have also been added.
  • A tunnel has been built from the car park to the stones.
  • Concern about the effects on stones from busy A303. A tunnel for the traffic has now been approved and will be built in the near future.
  • There is a desire to build a more dramatic multimedia centre with further facilities.
  • There is also damage from weathering to the stones.
  • Stonehenge is a worship place for druids on the longest day. There is now a limit on the number of worshippers allowed in.
  • Situated in Wiltshire; 2 miles west of Amesbury.
  • Stonehenge is run by English Heritage.
