  • Good power supply e.g. near power station which makes power cheaper.
  • A market nearby where the goods can be sold. This lowers transport costs.
  • Government policies (grants and incentives). Helps the industry set up.
  • Technology available in the area.
  • Local facilities.
  • Transport links which help inport and export.
  • Labour (workers living near by).
  • Raw materials.
  • Natural route for transport.
