# Why people become vegetarian

There are many reasons why people want to become vegetarian:

Moral reasons.

- Some people object to the killing of animals.

Health reasons.

- A vegetarian diet can be very healthy. Some people become vegetarian so they have less fat and more fibre in their diet.

Religious reasons.

- Some people's religious beliefs stop them eating meat.

Taste.

- Some people simply don't like the taste and texture of meat.
