# Vitamins

There is a wide range of different minerals that are needed in a healthy diet but we have focussed on two important ones: Vitamin C and Vitamin D.

#### **Vitamin C.**

- Vitamin C can be killed by high heat so be careful not to cook vegetables for too long.

- Needed to absorb iron, for healthy skin, and to fight infection.

#### **Vitamin D.**

- A common source of Vitamin D is sunlight!

- Needed to absorb calcium and growth and repair of teeth.

- Margarine, oily fish and sunlight.
