- Can be drawn into strings (ductile)
- Malleable
- Shiny when scratched
- Ring when hit (sonorous)
- Good conductors of heat and electricity
- Oxides are bases

Non-Metals

- Can't be drawn into strings (not ductile)
- Not malleable (brittle)
- Not shiny when scratched (dull)
- Don't ring when hit
- Poor conductors of heat and electricity
- Oxides are acids
